Anyone out there a big fan? Me? Not so much. First off, anything where you're judged, isn't a sport. I want a score, I want a time to beat. Curling.. as much fun as it looks, it's as much of a sport as bowling is. Anything you can play while drunk and/or pregnant, is not a sport. It's shuffle board for the cruises to the Arctic, simple as that.
But in the small amount we have watched... has anyone else noticed how not so good everyone is? Not that I can do any better (although if i worked my entire life at one thing and didn't have to have a real job, you never know), but it seems like everyone keeps falling. Skiers spending more time riding down the hill on their ass than their skis. Figure skaters falling so much they might as well pick up a medical alert necklace. And speed skaters slip sliding away more than Paul Simon.
I don't know, maybe it's just all NBC is showing, but it sure seems like the best in the world, really aren't all that great.

Hello Again
So I haven't written in a while, and that's mostly for a couple of reasons. First, work has been crazy hectic, so I really haven't had the time or energy to sit down and write. And secondly, because I've been so focused on work, I really haven't been able to find interesting things to write about.
A quick update. Both jobs (the wife's and mine) are going very well. We were both thrown right into the fire, and that's just the way we like it. We've also moved into a new apartment. Well apartment might be overstating it, it's more like a matchbox. As part of my job, I get an apartment for free, so we took one over in Mission Hill right near Northeastern. Love the area, tons of pubs/restaurants, with everything we need walking distance away.
We still have the house in Maine of course, and we're up there pretty regularly. Back to the apartment... it's about 650 square feet, 2 bed, 1 bath. So yeah, it's tiny. We're starting to get used to it though, as with the two tvs in different rooms, we have places to get a way from each when I want to watch the Celtics game and Sarah wants to watch Millionaire Matchmaker.
Just for kicks, I posted a couple pics of the apt. Here's the kitchen. Notice the baby fridge and baby stove. They're tiny, but they get the job done (which coincidentally is every Irishman's motto). Those are not magic hovering pots, we just hung a pot rack from the ceiling to provide additional storage.
From the kitchen into the living room. The nice part is, I can cook dinner and watch both tvs (in the living room and bedroom) at the same time.
So in summation, the apartment is tiny, but the location is fantastic and it's actually pretty cool living in the city again. Now if I could just get someone to come visit so I can try the local watering holes, it would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't post any other pictures, because the bathroom is a bathroom, and the bedrooms are too small to photograph well. One's 9x11 and the other is 9x9. Tiny...

Other than that, not too much going on. Although we did just get Garth Brooks concert tickets. Front row. In Vegas! Yeah yeah yeah, I know... its great isn't it!?!?!

Couple of Pics...
So we were up in Maine over the weekend, and of course we went snowmobiling. I tried taking a couple of pictures with my phone while out on the frozen lake, and they would have come out nicely, if not for my finger...

The New Dominos
So by now, I'm sure you've seen the millions of ads on tv, advertising the new and improved Domino's pizza. Well tonight, my lovely wife and I tried the new stuff and ...
Well, it wasn't a whole lot different. It was still tasty, still had the same consistency, but the sauce was definitely more spicy. The crust was covered in the new olive oil/garlic concoction, but otherwise, I really didn't notice a huge change in tasty. It was like they took the old stuff and thru in some hot spices and garlic, but not enough to really blow your taste buds away.
We did notice a difference in the bread sticks though, as they almost tasted like movie theater popcorn, which I don't think is a good thing. They seem to have taken away the butter and substituted it with olive oil maybe?
Overall, it was good, but pretty much the same as it's always been.

New Years Resolutions
So did you make any this year?
I feel like everyone makes pretty much the same ones every year, and this year will be no different for me. I'd like to get into better shape, live on the edge a little more (skydiving this spring, who's in?) and read more.
So far, no gym in 2010. Skydiving won't happen until May. But I have picked up a couple of books, started one (almost done) and am really looking forward to the others. I used to read a lot more when I took the train to work, but it's harder to flip thru a book while driving to work, as I do now.
I wish I had some more resolutions to make, but I'm pretty much perfect as it is, so there really isn't much to improve upon. Oh wait.. I'll try to be more humble...
